Update: January 2022

Hi everyone!

Well, here we are again. I first started this blog in 2012, which makes me feel incredibly old. Over the years I’ve taken a few breaks due to a busy schedule and an overworked brain. I even didn’t read as frequently as I used to anymore because I was completely drained and exhausted after working on my PhD or starting my new job in Belgium.

For 2022, ten years after I first started the blog, I wanted to make a specific book-related New Year’s resolution: I want to read more, I want to blog again, I want to share pictures of books on Bookstagram again. Without pressure to post regularly or following a set schedule. I also noticed that, before, I was reading certain books because I felt like I had to. Every big blogger was reading them, so I should too, was what I thought. It was the only way to get noticed. That has gone out the window this year too. I will only read what I feel like reading and so you will now also see a lot of Romance novels on the blog. The reviews don’t have to be long or beautifully written, they just need to convey my thoughts about the books I’ve read. So that’s what I’ve done! I read 12 books in January:
