Cross Stitch Projects

My Fabric Bookmarks

Hello everyone!

The last few weeks I’ve been thinking what awesome bookish products I can make and what fun things I can do with them. I love sewing and cross stitching so I’ve been working for a while now to combine that and my passion for books.

As you might have seen, I’ve been making cross stitch version of book covers for a while now. I’m currently working on three more covers! And they’re all very big projects, so I’m not sure when I’ll be able to finish them :p

In the meantime I’ve also been learning to make lots of stuff on my sewing machine and I wanted to make fabric bookmarks. But not just bookmarks, bookmarks that would stay in the book, no chance of falling out. So after browsing the internet for various different examples people had already come up with, I made my own version!

I have now made several with some beautiful fabrics that I found (love the designers of these, list of them coming soon). All the designs are now available in my Etsy store.

I’ve also added the option of getting the fabric bookmark personalised with a cross stitched letter I designed. Perfect for a gift to a loved one or yourself! You can see an example of what that would look like below. I’ve also added a print out of what all the letters in the alphabet I’ve made look like.

I hope you all like them as much as I do! I have a lot of fun picking out fabrics and making them. I’ve got loads of cool fabrics lined up for future releases. I’m also going to make matching booksleeves at some point and maybe sell them as sets too!
